Driving to San Quintin, via Highway 1, from the major cities of Tijuana to Ensenada you
will enjoy some of the most spectacular coastal landscape and beautiful Pacific Ocean views Baja has to offer. We suggest
taking the toll road that has easy access to some of the beach community shops and restaurants in the event you want to stop.
About 25 miles south of Ensenada you will enter the Santo Tomas wine country that extends on down to San Vicente
where you will start heading back towards the coast at Punta Colonet and on to San Quintin. The drive from the border to San
Quintin should take about 4 hours.
Immediately after leaving San Quintin you pass through the small
town of Cardenas and, a few miles south, there is a large sign over the highway indicating a right turn for "B. OF SAN
QUINTIN" (Bay of San Quintin). Turn right. Go about 1 mile, where you will see a sign for Hotel Baja Jardines.
Turn left. The hotel is about one-half mile down on the right. The restaurant is on the same road just past the
hotel.
